9/11

9/11 was obviously a huge tragedy in which many innocent people lost their lives. Theres no disputing that.

Now, some people think that the terrorism was executed solely by the terrorists, some think it was all the work of the US government. Some even think Jews did it.
I'm a mix between those who think the terrorists did it, and the US government helped.

First, consider the Bush administration, the Project for the New American Century. Consider the benefits governments have had since they've been able to use 'terrorism' as an excuse to erode civil liberties and illegally occupy countries and in turn, control their natural resources.

I don't think the Bush administration DID it. I think...I think its interesting how the memo was 'ignored' shall we say. Its not the first time a terrorism act has been self-inflicted to spark war against another nation - the Nazis did it. The US knew that something like 9/11 would give them free reign over the world for a little while - and it did.

Not only that, the Iraq war has to come into this. What did Iraq have to do with 9/11...nothing. Nothing. It was mainly Saudi who were on those planes. But fair enough, most were being trained in Afghanistan and Pakistan. So we go to war in Afghanistan. THEN, based on fake information and bloodlust, we go to war in Iraq - divert the majority of our troops there - despite knowing that we were ignoring the initial objective, to seek the terrorist organisations of 9/11.

In the UK, since 9/11, we have the most CCTV than any developed country, DNA database, web/email/phone database, random stop and search without suspicion, ID cards. Every single time, its about 'terrorism', the fuckheads who haven't read anything more complex than 'The Sun' are allowing legislation to be passed while the intelligent minority in this country have no choice but to fight alone.

The government stands to gain from terror. Thats a fact. And thats why I suspect the US gov't perhaps had a hand in the happenings of 9/11.

The government don't need terrorism in order to bring us into a police state, the media would do their job for them no matter what. Bird flu, environmental concerns, dangers of crime, pollution, take your pick, all of these 'emergencies' are massively exaggerated beyond any reasonable level.

People live in fear anyway, there's no need for one particular incident to be a conspiracy when the entire structure can be.

Well, 9/11 sure did help bring the United States closer to a police state.

I'm not sure it matters who did it at this point; the response of the government was to attack omni-directionally which is the real problem.

You're right on with your post.
