Our Commitments To You
LawsLoop recognises the information contained on this website, either submitted by you or anybody else is extremely sensitive and as such, great care must be employed to protect the right to privacy and safety of the user(s) who posted them from any individual or organisation, including governmental organisations.
For this reason, we present our commitments to you. |
Impartiality
LawsLoop believes that in order for the site to treat all views equally, we should remain as impartial as possible. We believe that had we wanted to create a website with a particular political slant, thats exactly what we could have done. We haven't. For us to in any way submit, alter or remove information on this site in a way that somehow suggests political bias would go completely against the entire point of the site. LawsLoop aims to be completely impartial to all opinions and ways of life and respects your right to express them. Including those that express a negative opinion of LawsLoop itself and/or its advertisers. LawsLoop will allow, without prejudice, opinions that could otherwise be deemed as hateful, racist, sexist, indecent and/or a threat to life.
Freedom of Speech
LawsLoop also believes in and adheres to the principles or free speech outlined in Article 19 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights ("Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."). We believe that as long as a single individual believes in anything, they have a right to express their views - and be heard. The view of a single individual that goes against the views of a million others will still be held in equal regard and defended as such. LawsLoop aims to defend these rights on your behalf and for LawsLoop itself against any authority.
Safety
LawsLoop aims to ensure your details are kept as secure as possible within our databases. LawsLoop will never distribute or sell your details to any third party without your explicit and clear permission, even to our advertisers. As an extension of the above statement regarding LawsLoop aiming to keep your data secure. Your personal data will never be abused by members of the LawsLoop administration team.
LawsLoop will defend your right to privacy and safety, we will defy any orders or action taken against us by any authority or third party to give out the information that could personally identify you/anyone you associate with or any individuals/organisations that you support or do not support. You can rest assured that LawsLoop will fight your case to the end for your right to express your opinion and to express it anonymously.
Education and Fun
Our main priorities as well as those listed above are for LawsLoop to be a platform for education. A way for people from all over the world to learn a little from other people and perceive views that perhaps would have never occurred to them. LawsLoop aims to be a way for people to learn from others in a safe environment where nobody can be spoken over or hurt, where information can be taken in at any pace, and responded to at any pace. We believe that this kind of environment encourages education through debate. We also want LawsLoop to be a fun and enjoyable experience for everybody, not just those who are registered members. Its our aim to help create a generation of intelligent, well-informed, critical and educated individuals who derive pleasure from confronting different issues with different people.
Moderation
In line with our belief that LawsLoop should remain as unmoderated as possible, a system of passive moderation will be in place as opposed to proactive moderation. Depending on the seriousness or frivolity of the issue, LawsLoop Moderators may intervene before or after a call for help, or not help at all. LawsLoop regard moderation as a grey area, we aim to ensure that all moderative actions are absolutely necessary and justifiable to anybody and do not break your trust in our goal for impartiality.
